Maths

If you are having to work from home, you can find some key information about what your class are doing in the following places.

Schemes of work – This is what your class will be learning over the next few weeks. Click on the Year 9 tab below the pink box.

Video lessons – You can find video lessons of the work being done in class. Click on the correct block to find your videos.

Hegarty Maths – Please log in and keep up to date with any Homework that is being set by your teacher. You can also search for the Video Lesson topic using the search bar at the top and complete these quizzes – e.g. type in straight line graphs for the first unit of work. Remember you can contact your maths teacher as well by using Hegarty Maths.

English

KS3 pupils who are self-isolating this term should, in the first instance, access SORA as part of their remote learning. They should aim to read a book a week from it and write a short review.

If they need book suggestions then they should look at the Key Stage 3 Recommended Reading List which is also on the website.

In addition, they should access 'Crafting Brilliant Sentences' . As a guide, year 9 should access any chapters 1 - 2 where they feel unconfident and then access ch 13 - 18.
