LIBRARY

Library

Langley School Library is an excellent, spacious resource available for all students to use as a quiet study area, every school day.  Central to Langley’s commitment to developing and sharing a whole-school reading culture, it is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm so why not use the library and its facilities to complete homework, and read as widely as possible for pleasure; you can even achieve rewards and certificates.

You will also have plenty of opportunities to visit the library during the school day, especially during break and lunch times.  Students can borrow up to 3 books at any time. Lessons are also regularly scheduled in the library so students can develop their information retrieval skills and find resources efficiently whatever the genre of book.

Students can choose from a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction and Audio books. Reference books and textbooks can be found in the library to support your work in all curriculum subjects. Computers with internet access can be used for information, research and word-processing.

Look out during the year for exciting events and initiatives held in the library.  These will include author visits and activities supporting World Book Day.
